When you are caring for a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's disease

Caring for someone who has Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia can be a difficult physical, emotional and mental challenge. Caregiving can go on for years and requires special understanding, patience and skills. It’s a tough road to travel alone, but fortunately, Hope Dementia & Alzheimer’s Services is here to help.

Our Mission and History

Mission: To provide information, education and support for people with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia—and the families and professionals who care for them.

In 1984, a local group of family caregivers and healthcare professionals founded Alzheimer’s Services of Cape Cod & the Islands to fulfill this mission. Since that time, we have helped thousands of caregivers support their loved ones living with the devastating impacts of Alzheimer’s and related diseases. In 2011, we affiliated with HopeHealth to increase our efficiencies and enhance our programs. Today, as part of HopeHealth, the commitment to our mission is steadfast and our services are expanding.

What services do we provide?

Hope Dementia & Alzheimer’s Services offers a wide array of services for those living with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia, their caregivers, and the healthcare professionals and community agencies that support them. Specialized programs include:
