A volunteer describes her experience of volunteering with HopeHealth.
Interested in volunteering? There are so many ways to help make a real and lasting difference in someone’s life. HopeHealth volunteers are vital members of our care and support teams. They work in partnership with our staff -- at the bedside, at fundraising events, in the community, or in one of our administrative offices. We provide regularly scheduled orientation and training classes. Call us at (508) 957-0200 for the full training schedule. We also tailor assignments to maximize the experience for both the volunteer and our organization.
“I’ve received so much great training as part of my volunteer experience at Hope Hospice, learning the types of things everyone should be aware of at this important time, so I can truly help others going through it.”
Peachy Fitzgerald – Patient/ family volunteer since 1999
“Volunteering for Hope Hospice is so rewarding - it has taught me how to be completely present and open to the challenges of life – receiving and giving at the same time.”
Don Cameron – McCarthy Care Center volunteer since 2007
